FG Releases 100 Trucks of Grains to Kano

The federal government is set to distribute one hundred (100) trailers of assorted grains to the Kano state government to mitigate the hardship the residents are going through as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The silos manager, food and strategic reserve, Adamawa state, Engr. Suleiman Amusa made this known while speaking to newsmen in Yola.

Amusa said the federal government has directed them to make available 17,500 metric tonnes of grains for distribution to Kano, one of the states worst hit by the Coronavirus pandemic.

He adding that they have bagged more than seventy trucks in the warehouse, remaining thirty trucks to make it a hundred.

On the part of the National Emergency Management Agency, Ali Mosese said they will work hand in hand to make sure that the delivery is carried out without any hitc

Speaking on security measures, the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps NSCDC, represented by Nathaniel Koshi assured the Federal government of protecting the grains from the warehouse to where the grains will be distributed in Kano
