CHAN 2014 Winner Takes Home $750,000
Caf Has confirmed the sharing of a total sum of $3.2 million among the 16 participating teams at the African Nations Championship with the winner going home with $750,000.
This was confirmed by the continent’s football governing body ahead of the quarter-finals this weekend.
The winners of the 2014 African Nations Championship (CHAN) will pocket US$750,000, according to Caf. while the runner-up will earn $400,000,
A total of $3.2 million will be shared among the 16 participating teams.
The tournament, which is currently ongoing in South Africa, is reserved for home-based players.
The last eight teams are Nigeria, who will slug it out with Morocco in Cape Town come Saturday, Mali and Zimbabwe for the other quarter-finals game later that day.
Other games are Gabon, who will face Libya in Polokwane on Sunday then Ghana battles DR Congo in Mangaung.
