Okagbare, Amusan arrive for Warri Relays
Blessing Okagbare and Tobi Amusan have arrived in the country ahead of the 2017 Warri Relays & CAA Grand Prix at the Delta State Polytechnic Stadium, Ozoro, on July 18.
Okagbare, who ran an impressive 10.99 secs in the women’s 100m at the London Meeting on Sunday, is one of the star athletes for the Ozoro meeting.The home crowd will have an opportunity to watch Amusan, who has been hogging the headlines with breathtaking performances in the United States this season.The hurdler last month won the women’s 100m hurdles at the National Collegiate Athletic Association with a new personal best time of 12.57s.
The Delta State Government and Solid Works will be sponsoring the 2017 Warri Relays & CAA Grand Prix, which has attracted top athletes from across the world to the state.
