Information gathered revealed that the occupants of the collapsed building have been served notice to quit by LASBCA as been distressed while some of the occupants did not comply.

 

Due to proactivity of LASBCA, which had identified the distressed building earlier and occupants have moved most of there properties out of the building, there was no loss of lives and no injuries sustained in the course of the building collapsing. 

 

The remaining occupants in the building were able to escape unscathed when the building gave signs of imminent collapse this morning. The area has been cordoned to ensure swift operation of responders and safety of the people in and around the area.

 

Responders on the scene are, LRU hospital care unit, nema, Lagos state fire and rescue service, LASBCA, LNSC, Nigeria police force, palace chiefs LCDA officials
