Stray Bullets Kill Three in Imo Fresh Attack

Three innocent Imo state residents have been hit by stray bullets in the fresh attack by hoodlums on police station and INEC office in the state.

The hoodlums who came in the afternoon of Tuesday shot sporadically into the air along the Orji axis of Owerri the Imo state capital and thereafter set ablaze the police station undergoing reconstruction, this coming shortly after the Ahiazu Mbaise local government  INEC office was set ablaze unknown gunmen.

Though it was clearly seen in some video clips recorded by witnesses that the hoodlums were being cheered up by onlookers and residents of the localities, there was no attempt by them to shoot at the innocent citizens.

However, the report emanating later shows that no fewer than three persons were hit and killed by stray bullets.

The police had in their press release said they arrested some suspected hoodlums without any gun battle and no lives were lost.

Galaxy's correspondent Ajibade Awofeso reports that contrary to the claim by the police, residents of Orji community told newsmen that security operatives shortly after the hoodlums left came to the scene and started shooting sporadically and many were hit by bullets even right in their homes.

The killings in Imo state recently is becoming one ugly incident too many,  innocent citizens being sent to their early grave and no one is talking about justice for them.
