SouthWest Region Is Setting The Place In Frastructural Development. Adeleke
Osun State governor, Ademola Adeleke, has said that the Oyo State’s remarkable progress, particularly in the areas of infrastructure and human capital, has become a source of inspiration for other southwest states, describing Governor Seyi Makinde as a motivation for the region’s governors.
Governor Adeleke made assertion in Ibadan , while commissioning the 8.2km Agodi-Gate Old Ife Road-Alakia to Adegbayi, dualised by Governor Seyi Makinde.
The Osun governor, who was the special guest of honour at the occasion, noted that the efforts of Governor Makinde and the pace of development he has set in the state is an encouragement for the region.
Adeleke said: “The old Western Region was reputed to be the leading zone in the areas of innovations, infrastructure and good governance but that has gone with the past.
He however stress that the South West has regained its momentum, while describing Oyo state governor as a trailblazer.
Adeleke, also called for closer governmental cooperation among southwest states to deepen regional collaboration.
Speaking earlier, the host Governor, Seyi Makinde, said his infra agenda is premised on expanding business opportunities and creating multiple zones for development in Oyo state.
He noted that his administration prioritised inter-city roads to widen the net of development even with limited resources
