Police denies ignoring distress call
The Commissioner of Police in Oyo state, Abiodun Odude has disclosed that officers and men of the command have high regard and respect for distress calls from residents of the state.
Speaking against the allegation that Policemen in the state have been ignoring calls from residents who are in one danger organizations the order, Odude disclosed that such allegation is baseless and unfounded noting that the command has been doing it best in this regard.
He stated the the public Relations Unit of the Command has been repositioned and saddled with more responsibilities in reaching out to members of the public who are in distress adding that the control room number and numbers of senior officers of the command are in the public domain.
Odude assured residents of the state of the readiness of the command to ensure their safety at all times.
