Constitution Review: Deputy Speaker Asks Youths To Actively Engage In Process

The Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon Benjamin Kalu, has called on young Nigerians to actively engage in the ongoing constitutional review process, emphasizing the importance of having youth perspectives at the center of national decision-making.

He made the call when the Emerging Political Leaders Fellowship Programme of the Bridge Leadership Foundation, Calabar, paid him a courtesy visit in Abuja, emphasizing that youth perspectives must be central to national decision-making.

Kalu encouraged young people to continuously improve themselves and seek knowledge to contribute meaningfully to governance.

The founder of the Bridge Leadership Foundation and former Governor of cross Rivers State, Liyel Imoke, explained that the Emerging Political Leaders Fellowship Programme in Calabar, now in its fourth year, is designed to prepare young people for leadership roles. Participants, selected from 32 states, undergo six months of training before making a capstone presentation to graduate.
