Ondo Amotekun Returns 18 Northern Wanderers To Their States
Men of the Ondo State Security Network Agency, codenamed Amotekun Corps has arrested 18 wanderers from Sokoto, Jigawa and Kano States along Arakale road, in Akure South Local Government Area of Ondo State.
Parading the wanderers, the Commander of Ondo Amotekun, Chief Adetunji Adeleye said his men suspected the vehicle and after searching it 18 young men were found among bags of beans and motorcycle parts.
The Amotekun Commander further said when they were interrogated they claim they are coming from Sokoto, Kano and Jigawa states but no clear destination.
Adetunji also explained that they could constitute a nuisance in the state as they are on the trail of 30 others who had got down from the trailer before it was stopped.
The head of the Hausa/ Fulani community in Ondo State Bala Umaru and Usman Bello the chairman of Miyetti Allah were contacted and arrangements have been made to return them to their various destinations.
They thanked the Ondo State Government for providing them with such facilities.
