Rivers state governor Siminalayi Fubara has described Saturday's local government election in the state as a state affairs.

The governor made this known when he received party leaders and political groups members at the government house in Port Harcourt the state capital.

According to governor Fubara, he is prepared to support the leaders as they prepare for an hitch free local government election come Saturday.

On the issue of the voter register, he stressed that ten states have conducted local government elections with the 2023 register, hence Rivers state should not be different.
