Fayose spotted at Nnamdi Kanu's trial

Ekiti state Governor Ayodele Fayose has shown support for pro-Biafra agitator Nnamdi Kanu, as he was present in the Federal High Court Abuja.


Fayose's aide on new media, Lere Olayinka,  Fayose is presently seated inside Federal High Court 4 as the leader of the secessionist group Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) appears before Justice Nyako.

Ekiti governor for the first time has openly revealed support for the movement. The break away of the Southeast from the Nigerian union as desired by pro-Biafra supporters.

Prior to Fayose's action, Peoples Democratic Party apologist, Deji Adeyanju was arrested by police for staging a pro-Biafra protest.

Adeyanju, who is also a notable critic of President Muhammadu Buhari's government, was released after about 6 hours in police detention on Monday, April 24.

He was arrested by the Nigeria police on Friday, April 21 for staging a protest against the secret trial of Nnamdi Kanu on Thursday, April 20.

Following this, Nnamdi has been granted bail by Justice Binta Nyarko on health grounds.

He is expected to provide three sureties, one of who must be a serving senator, a jewish religious leader and highly respected person and must own a land in anywhere in Abuja.
