Rohr invites Osimhen, Iheanacho, drops Moses

Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr has called up four Nigerian Professional Football League players Alhassan Ibrahim, Stephen Odey, Ikechukwu Ezenwa and Sikiru Olatubosun for the friendly match against a team from the Corsica region of France later this month.


 

Rohr also handed debut invitation to Vitoria Setubal midfielder Mikel Agu but left out Victor Moses, Ogenyi Onazi, Odion Ighalo and Brown Ideye from the squad.

The three-time African champions will open camp in Corsica on 24th May and then play against the Corsica team two days later, before moving camp to Paris for the second phase of the camping programme ahead of the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against South Africa’s Bafana Bafana.Meanwhile the duo of Ola Aina from Chelsea FC and Alex Iwobi have been granted permission to feature for their respective clubs in the English FA Cup final on 27th May before joining the squad in Paris.
