Delta takes whistle blowing policy to LG
As part of measures to ensure an effective and transparent local government system in the state, the Delta state government has introduced the whistle blowing policy in Warri south local government.
The policy which was introduced as a result of the increase in ghost workers in the 25 local government councils in the state, is seen by the government as a move to increase local government revenue.
Addressing workers and staff of the council, the head of the Delta state local government service commission, Stella Ugboma said reports will be demanded on a monthly basis.
On his part, the council secretary calls for a legislation on the whistle blowing policy in ensuring an effective system.
The message according to the government will be replicated in the twenty five local government areas of the state.
