Members of the Delta state House of Assembly have on Thursday, May 11, impeached the speaker of the House, Rt. Hon. Monday Ovwigho Igbuya.

It was gathered that he was allegedly impeached at about 7am.

With the impeachment, Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, has emerged the new Speaker of the House.

The impeachment notice was said to have been signed by twenty two lawmakers of the Assembly.
