Senate Suspends Plenary to Address Rising Insecurity
In response to the escalating insecurity across the nation, the Nigerian Senate has taken decisive action by suspending its plenary sessions.
This move comes as a pivotal step towards addressing the pressing issues of security that have gripped the nation in recent times.
Galaxy Tv news reports that the suspension of plenary sessions was to create an opportunity for high-level discussions with key government officials.
Among those summoned to address the Senate are the Minister for Finance, the Minister for Defence, the National Security Adviser, and the Service Chiefs.
Already, the Senate has entered into the committee of the whole house and currently in closed door meeting with security chiefs.
