Police rescue rape victim in Sagamu
In continuation of mop-up of remnants of criminals and raids of the operational base, the Ogun state police command has arrested four members of a kidnapping gang who raped one Happiness Moses in Sagamu, Ogun state.
This is in addition to 15 other paraded by the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Edward Ajogun at the State Police headquarters, Eleweran, Abeokuta, the state capital.
The Police boss said Happiness, a graduate from Kogi State University was Kidnapped and kept in a bush at Agbele area of Sagamu after four suspects took turns to rape her.
But the police, upon receiving a tip-off, immediately combed the entire vicinity and rescued the victim.
Ajogun said during investigation it was discovered that the victim was lured to Sagamu after she met the suspect on Facebook.
The DCP noted that the suspects will be arraigned in court.
The Deputy Commissioner of Police also warned criminals who intend to hibernate or choose Ogun state as their operational base to stay away.
He pledged that the command is determined to fight crime to a standstill in the state.
