Police Parades 25 Suspected Criminals
The Nigeria police has arrested and paraded twenty five persons suspected to be kidnappers, armed robbers cattle rustlers and others for unlawful possession of weapons from different parts of the country.
Parading the suspects in Abuja, Wednesday, the Force public relation officer, Commissioner of Police, Frank Mba said the suspects were apprehended with tip off from responsible Nigerians.
Commissioner Mba said the arrest was sequel to the unrelenting efforts by the force to rid the country of heinous criminals and to get justice for victims
The force PRO however said, the police remain committed to fighting insecurities in the country.
Mba revealed a kidnapping gang syndicate led by one Friday Gbemudu from Kogi state.
He was arrested for the abduction and killing of a five years old girl named Farida Ibrahim which he requested five million as ransomed from her parent.
Another syndicate by Jaffaru Sulieman from plateau state who was a spiritual father to some kidnappers was also arrested.
Police team also arrested one Abubakar Aliyu,a security man of Ahmadu Bello University who was working hand in hand with kidnappers in attacking and kidnapping of lecturers and students in the school premises.
All suspects attested to the allegations.
Items recovered include five Ak47 rifles, life ammunition, cash sum of seven hundred and sixty five thousand Naira.
