Kanu's Trial: American Veterans Accuses Britain of Complicity in Torture of Its Own Citizen

The President of American Veterans of Igbo Descent, Sylvester Onyia has blamed the British government for the ordeal the leader of the Indigenous Peoples of Biafra IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu, who is currently going through in the hands of the Federal Government.
Speaking on the Kanu's trial, Onyia noted that British government by its action and inaction is not doing enough for the release of its citizen who is currently in DSS custody. He demanded that the UK government publicly accept responsibility for its complicity in the illegal rendition of Nnamdi Kanu.
Onyia also asked the British government to initiate a parliamentary inquiry into the roles played by its High Commissions in Nairobi and Abuja in the rendition of Kanu to Nigeria. The President of AVID further said that if Kanu dies in DSS detention that Britain will not be an observer but will be an accomplice.
The American Veterans of Igbo Descent equally demanded that UK should intensify efforts for immediate release of Nnamdi Kanu.
