DWI Faults Formation Of All Democratic Alliance

The Democracy Watch Initiative (DWI) has rejected the formation of the proposed All Democratic Alliance (ADA), reportedly led by former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, warning it could deepen political divisions and undermine Nigeria’s democracy.
In a statement signed by its Director of Strategic Communication, Dr. AbdulRazak Ahmed, the pro-democracy group described the ADA as a coalition of recycled politicians with tarnished records, lacking credibility and a clear agenda for national development.
It added that ADA, as proposed by the Atiku-led coalition, risks perpetuating the cycle of political patronage and public disillusionment,” Ahmed said.
The DWI urged Nigerians to remain vigilant and reject political projects driven by personal ambition, calling instead for support for leaders committed to transparency, unity, and people-focused governance.
