DSS Warns Of Plots to Cause Disunity among Nigerians
The Department of State Services (DSS) has reminded the public of its earlier warnings about plans by persons and groups to cause ethnoreligious violence in parts of the country.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, the Public Relations Officer of the Service, Dr Peter Afunanya in Abuja noted that latest developments indicate desperate efforts by the groups to subvert public order.
Afunanya said that some of them have continued to resort to inciting, unguarded and divisive statements and acts capable of causing disunity among Nigerians.
The statement says that the Service strongly warns the elements to desist forthwith from their nefarious acts or face the full wrath of the law.
It adds that the DSS will in collaboration with other security and law enforcement agencies take necessary steps to ensure the safety of lives and property in the citizenry.
