Border closure: task force urges Nigerians to be patient
As the operation border drill of the federal government enters its fourth week, the head of the task force covering Kwara, Benue, Kogi and Niger states have described the hostility and misunderstanding by Nigerians as major challenges being faced.
Addressing journalists on the achievements of his team in the last three weeks, he noted that several drums of petroleum and bags of rice illegally smuggled were seized.
He pleaded with Nigerians to be patient with the government adding that the end results will be to the benefit of the country.
While comparing smuggling with armed robbery, he emphatically says he would rather be an armed robber than smuggler and gives a reason.
