Oyo Govt Disburse 500 Million Naira to Students as Bursary.

Indigent students of Oyo state have express delight after the state government commence disbarment of bursary award to 2950 students to ease their academic pursuit at various higher citadel of learning across the country. Oyo State government has begun the disbursement process of bursary award of ₦554, 0985,000 to over 2,950 indigent students of the state to support them in their educational pursuits.
The bursary payment was for the 2024/2025 academic session, and the process commenced today for the benefit of the students. Some of the students who spoke with journalists said the bursary will go a long way in sorting out their educational expenses and reduce the financial burden on their parents.
They thank the state government for coming up with the bursary award during this biting economic times. Addressing newsmen, the Senior Special Assistant to Governor Seyi Makinde on Students Affairs, Hon. Victor Olojede, explained that the process of paying bursaries to indigent students has been in existence for four years stressing that the present government is committed to ensuring that indigent students receive relief from the current economic hardship.
Olojede promised that the government would open up the bursary for the 2025/2026 academic session immediately after the present payment ends. In his own remarks, the Chairman of the Oyo State Scholarship Board, Hon. Maruf Atilola, advised the students to make good use of the money given to them for their educational pursuits and urged them to be good ambassadors of the state.
