EFCC Exposes 58 Ponzi Schemes Targeting Nigerians

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has released a list of 58 companies operating illegal Ponzi schemes in Nigeria, warning the public to avoid investing with them.
According to the EFCC, these companies are not registered with the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) or the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). Several have been charged to court, with five already convicted, another five pleading guilty but awaiting sentencing, while others are pending arraignment. The two regulators, in separate correspondences with the EFCC, denied that the companies are registered with them.
