Benue gov holds spiritual retreat for commissioners

 Benue State commissioners, special advisers and other appointees of Governor Samuel Ortom led administration have been advised to "stop I chop and go politics" but rededicate themselves selflessly to the growth of the state.


Governor Samuel Ortom made this known at a two-day spiritual retreat organized for members of his cabinet and other state appointees in Makurdi.

He said the retreat is aimed at helping them redirect their thinking towards the development of the state by having the fear of God and allow his wisdom to guide them in all their affairs of governance.

The governor said Benue State has been dedicated to God as there was a need to work collectively in the interest and prosperity of the state.

Governor Ortom who urged them to shun vices such as adultery, fornication, drunkenness that could undermine their integrity, however, cautioned them against deliberate diversion or conversion of funds and used the retreat to reexamined.
