30 feared trapped as 4-storey building collapses in India
Three people have been killed and more than 30 are feared to be trapped as two wings of a four-storey building collapsed in eastern Mumbai's Ghatkopar today morning.
At least 14 fire engines, rescue vans and ambulances, besides teams of the state disaster management force, have rushed to the site.
A team of Mumbai Police, fire department and disaster management is at the spot for rescue and relief operation.
NDRF team has also been moved to Ghatkopar.
At least five victims trapped in the debris of the ill-fated Sai Darshan building have been extricated safely and a search is on for others.
State Housing Minister Prakash Mehta, senior officials of the BMC and others have rushed to the site to supervise rescue and relief operations.
