NMA urge FG to implement national health act

The Nigerian Medical Association (NMA) has called on the federal government to implement the National Health Act Enacted in 2014.


The association said that if implemented, it would provide for the care of patients in an emergency including those with identity challenge which is one of the major challenges they are facing.

Speaking to newsmen the Kaduna state, chairman of the Nigerian Medical Association, Dr. Stephen Kache Akau during this year's physicians' week said the unknown patients have always been neglected in the hospital.

The chairman of the occasion Dr Solomon Avidime emphasis on the need to improve the working condition of doctors saying this is the reason why doctors are leaving for other countries.
