According to reports Abakaliki members of the Ebonyi State house Assembly have this morning impeached the Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Mr Chukwuma Nwazunku

18 out of the 24 members of the House allegedly carried out the impeachment of the speaker.

The members lifted the impeachment of the three members of the house on suspension before carrying out the impeachment.

The three members are Frank Onwe, Eni Uduma Chime and deputy speaker, Blaise Orji.

Information gathered  states that Frank Onwe moved the motion for the Speaker’s impeachment which was seconded by the minority leader, Enyi C. Enyi.

Thereafter, Eni Uduma Chima representing Afikpo South West moved the motion for election of  Helen Nwaobasi representing Abakaliki South state constituency.
