Gunmen Abandon Bag-Load Of Explosives,Firearms As Police Declare Them Wanted

The Kano State Commissioner of Police, Ibrahim Idris today said his men are trailing  two fleeing suspects, who abandoned their bag-load of explosives and firearms while they were been chased by Security agents.
 
GalaxyTv News learnt this at the pressbriefing at the Bompai Headquarters of the Kano State Police Command, Commissioner of Police Idris disclosed that the Command received a distressed call from some residents in Kawaji area that two young men carrying a large bag in a suspicious manner.
 
According to the CP,  o notifying the Control room,   patrol vehicle was immediately dispatched towards the area, adding that on sighting the Police patrol team, the suspects abandoned the bag and took to their heels.
 
On further scrutiny, the Police Chief said,  it was discovered to contain assorted dangerous weapons, including six AK 47 Assault rifles, two Assault rifles, pistols,  Improvised Explosive Devises, 723 of 5.56 live ammunitions and 152 of 7.6 live ammunitions, among other dangerous items.
 
The Police boss hinted that the  Bomb Disposal Unit of the Command; later defused the bombs, while one Adamu Sefianu has been declared wanted by the Kano Police Command in connection with the discovery.
