Dosu: No need to panic over Ikeme’s injury

Former Super Eagles goalkeeper, Joseph Dosu, has said the nation needs not panic over who to man the post, as the nation prepares for the forthcoming Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) and World Cup qualifiers.

According to him, the country is blessed with good goalkeepers that can stand in for injured Super Eagles current number goalkeeper, Carl Ikeme, as he recuperates.

Dosu said the nation is so blessed with so many goalkeepers, adding that all that is required is to give them same opportunities that were given to the established goalkeepers.

Dosu, who also had similar breakthrough after winning gold medal at Atlanta 1996 Olympics from being a junior international and later claimed the Eagles number one position said:

“There is no need for us to worry over anything. There are a lot of good goalkeepers even in our league, who can rise up to the occasion. Give them the exposure; be consistent with them and with the belief in them they will rise up and cement their place.”
