Buhari, Jibrin meet in Aso Rock
President Muhammadu Buhari on Thursday, December 28, met behind closed doors with the embattled member of the House of Representatives, Hon. Abdulmumunin Jibrin at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
Jibrin was suspended by the House of Representatives in September 2016 over corrupt allegations he made against the lower chamber of the National Assembly.
Speaking with state House correspondents after the meeting, Jibrin said the meeting was such as a meeting between a father and son.
Asked whether he was at the Villa to seek Buhari's intervention he said he was in the villa to greet the president.
Jibrin also reacted to the recall of senator Ali Ndume who was suspended by the Senate almost at the same time he was suspended commending the for timely disposing Ndume’s case and recalling him appropriately.
He lamented disenfranchisement of his constituency for over a year but however expressed optimism of getting justice at the courts to get back to the green chambers.
He said he did not discuss the political crisis in Kano state with the president but greeted the president over his son’s accident and wished his son quickest recovery.
