APC youths call for fresh Congress
Youths of the Imo state All Progressive Congress (APC) who are alleged to be supporters of Governor Rochas Okorocha, have trooped out in their masses, to the streets of Owerri in a protest to demand the conduct of a fresh ward congress.
Their demand for another ward congress stemmed from the accusation of the hijack of materials meant to conduct the ward congress last Saturday.
 
The protest started from the heroes square down to the government house with youths chanting solidarity songs calling on the national Working committee of the All Progressive Congress (APC) to as a  matter of urgency cancel the ward congress and fix a date for new one. 
 
In his remark, the leader of the protesters, Jeff Nwoha who is the current MD, IMO Entraco, said that the reason they have all come out is to lay their grievances about what played out in the last Congress saying that the security agencies should make sure they fish out all those alleged to have been involved in the hijacking of sensitive materials meant for the Congress.
Received by the deputy chief of staff to governor Rochas Okorocha, Kingsley UJU assured the youth that the national leadership of APC working on resolving the issues. 
 
It could be recalled that National chairman of the all progressive congress had announced that the local government congress scheduled for Saturday be postponed, following the burnt down of the APC secretariat in the state.
