Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike has on Monday defended the capital city’s 2024 budget of N1.1 trillion before the National Assembly.

Making the presentation before the Senate Committees, the FCT Minister disclosed that the budget revenue sources would be made up of Internally Generated Revenue (IGR), Infrastructure Support Fund among others.

Galaxy tv reports that Wike, while giving highlights of the FCT Appropriation Bill, said N280bn was earmarked for overhead, N726bn for capital projects, and N140bn for personnel, bringing the total budget to N1.147tn.

He further highlighted some of the projects to be executed from the 2024 FCT statutory budget proposal.
