Tinubu Sends ₦70000 Minimum Wage Bill To NASS

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has submitted the N70,000 Minimum Wage bill to the House of Representatives for consideration and passage into law.

The bill aims to formalize the recently agreed minimum wage between labor unions, the private sector, and the federal government.

In a letter read by Speaker Tajudeen Abbas, the President requested expedited passage of the bill to ensure swift implementation and benefit for Nigerian workers.

Additionally, President Tinubu sent a separate letter seeking an amendment to the Nigeria Police Act, specifically regarding the appointment and tenure of the Inspector General of Police, as provided for, in Section 58 of the 1999 Constitution
