Tinubu advised to review and evaluate charges against Kanu
President Bola Tinubu has been advised to review and evaluate the charges against the detained leader of the Proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu, in the interest of rule of law.
The lead Counsel to Nnamdi Kanu, Aloy Ejimakor, while speaking with Journalists in Abuja on Friday on the plights of his client, described the ongoing trial as unfavorable to Kanu.
Galaxy tv reports that Ejimakor, who frowned at amendment made to the charge against Kanu, declared that most of the charges are political in nature, hence the need for the present administration, led by Bola Tinubu to review the case.
Ejimakor, who spoke alongside a member of the team, Jude Ugwanyi, decried the inability to have unhinder access to their clients at the Custody of the State Security Service adding that, this has had serious implications on the matter before the court.
The legal team further lamented the inability to have discussion with Kanu on the charge placed on him, being the person in the midst of the storm.
Recall that the court at the last sitting refused the bail application put forward by Nnamdi Kanu.
