Rivers State Government has declared a property developer, Vincent Nwoye, wanted following A two-storey building under construction which collapsed in the Egbelu area of Ogbogoro Community, Obio/Akpor Local Government Area of Rivers State, killing one person and leaving another severely injured. The incident, which occurred around 2 p.m. on Monday, is the second building collapse in the area within a week.

The Commissioner for Physical Planning and Urban Development, Evans Bipi, disclose this to newsmen after an on-the-spot inspection of the collapsed building, accusing the developer of gross negligence.

He cited the failure of the property developer to obtain a government-approved building plan and the use of substandard materials as the causes of the building collapse and avoidable death.

An eyewitness also spoke with newsmen about the incident.

The Rivers State Government have since sympathizes with the bereaved family and the people of the Community over the unfortunate incident.
