Residents and concern individual in Anambra state have called on the state government to caution itsofficials to allow smooth running of town union elections if it most work and serve it purpose.

They said for peace to rein among people in various communities during and after town union elections the process must be allow to go democratically.

According to them, this struggle ‎surfaced barely four to five years ago, they said it started when state government elevated the office which made it more attractive and lucrative to it seekers.

They noted that recently the town unions across the state gathered to support Governor Willie Obiano on his second tenure bid, when some communities is on fire, loaded with pocket of crisis.They call for an end to the imposition of leadership in any community in the state.
