Police Rescue Two Kidnap Victims, Arrest Cattle Rustler Suspect
The Kaduna state Police Command has confirmed the rescue of two kidnapped victims and the recovery of 283 rustled cows and 20 sheep. The Command also said five suspects have been apprehended in connection with the operation.
In a statement by the Command’s PPRO, ASP Mansir Hassan, he said operatives from the Anti-Kidnapping Unit, led by SP Sani Ibrahim Zuntu, acted on credible intelligence, leading them to a remote area in Gora Village where they arrested the suspects and retrieved the livestock suspected to be stolen.
The statement also said those arrested include Danjuma Alhaji Nguna, 25, Saleh Shehu, 35, Isiya Abdullahi, 35, Abubakar Isiya, 13, and Aminu Abdullahi, also known as “Kano,” 13. He also added that the suspects will face court proceedings after preliminary investigations.
