Police Parades 18 Suspects
The Nigeria police force has arrested and paraded eighteen persons suspected to be kidnappers, car thieves, cultists, unlawful possession of firearms, robbers and armed smugglers from different parts of the country.
Parading the suspects in Abuja, Monday, Police Public Relations Officer, Commissioner of police, Frank Mba, said the suspects were apprehended with tip-off from responsible Nigerians.
Mba expressed the commitment of the police to providing adequate security for lives and property of Nigerians and foreigners in the country.
Commissioner Mba lamented series of Criminalities going on in the country promising that the force will expedite action to arrest more criminals
Mba also exposed a syndicate of kidnappers who were kidnapped by another group of kidnappers saying all of them will be prosecuted.
Suspects arrested attested to the allegations levelled against them.
Items recovered from the groups include eight AK-47 rifles, one submachine gun, 236 AK-47 ammunitions and eight AK-47 magazines.
1,002 victims of kidnap were also successfully rescued and reunited with their families.
