Police Arrest 11 Notorious Kidnap Suspect
Following the Commissioner of Police directives on man hunt of bandits across the state, the Command has successfully arrested 11 kidnap suspects.
The Command also recovered six fabricated AK47 rifles, two pump action guns, two English pistols, one fabricated single barrel gun, cash sum of N908,600 and other exhibits.
A statement issued by the Command spokesman, ASP Mansir Hassan on Thursday said, In the same vein, he said that on the 2nd of September, 2024, acting on credible information about a suspicious movement of bandits, Police operatives lay an ambush in a motor park, stressing that a search was conducted, leading to the recovery of four fabricated AK-47 rifles hidden within a consignment.
According to Mansir, at about 05:10hrs the following morning, six suspects were arrested in connection to the incident, pointing out that the suspects are: Lawal Murtala (M), Isa Kabiru (M), Auwal Surajo (M), Kamala Lawal (M), Umar Adamu (M) and Kabiru Liman (M).
He added that exhibits recovered from the suspects included four fabricated AK-47 rifles, two English pistols, two pump-action guns, 24 cartridges, 29 rounds of live ammunition of various calibers, adding that a large quantity of assorted charms, one walkie-talkie, one axe, A cash sum of ₦908,600.00.
