Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue has expressed appreciation to President Muhammadu Buhari, and a host of other Governors of APC, PDP for standing by him and condemning the Saturday attack on his convoy by suspected bandits while returning from his farm.

Governor Ortom while also thanking the chairman of APC and PDP as well as traditional rulers across the country for their solidarity, joined PMB to call and advise Nigerians not to politicize the attacks as it may be somebody else tomorrow, adding that if we don't join hands to fight this monster one cannot underestimate the extent it will go.

The Governor who made this commendation at the State Security Council meeting government house, Makurdi today, said with this development Nigeria is sitting on a keg of gun powder, effort must be made to nip this in the bud while security agencies apprehend them.

Governor Ortom further stated that this is not about race, group it is about criminals that the security agencies must fish out from fanning the ember of discord and perpetuate their evil agenda over our land, just as he called on everyone to join hands to fight this group of people who have owned up to the attack.

The Security Council agreed to work together as a government to provide political will and for security agencies to do their best to nip some of these challenges in the bud.
