Ondo Amotekun Arrest 4000 Suspect between Jan and May

The Ondo State Security Network Agency, also known as Amotekun Corps, has arrested over 4000 suspected criminals across the 18 local government areas of the state in the last five months.

The state commander of the corps, Akogun Adetunji Adeyeye disclosed this in a chat with journalists in Akure, the state capital. The Amotekun commander stated they were arrested for various criminal activities, ranging from kidnapping, armed robbery, human trafficking illegal possession of firearms among others.

The state commander of the corps, Adetunji Adeleye, who is also the Special Adviser to Governor Rotimi Akeredolu, on Security Matters, said the corps was committed to making the state crime-free.

Adetunji Adeleye further stated that the corps also collaborated with some security agencies in some neighboring states in Tackling insecurity. He said the command would not relent on its Operation Clean-Up efforts to eradicate crime in the state.

The Amotekun commander is also delighted with the synergy with other security agencies and local hunters in the state.
