Maritime University: Stakeholder blames FG for delayed take-off

Stakeholders from the Gbaramatu kingdom in Warri South West local government area of Delta state have blamed the delay in the take-off of the maritime university on the doorstep of the federal government.


 This is coming three months after the fact finding visit of the vice president Professor Yemi Osinbajo to the institution.

Speaking on the need for urgent attention, the spokesperson of Gbaramatu kingdom and a community leader expressed their views.

On the fears of youth restiveness, the Gbaramatu leaders dismissed the claim while calling for the direct payment of thirteen percent derivation.

Meanwhile, one would expect that the take-off of the maritime university whose structures is comparable to the best in the country, and the modular refineries will open the region to massive development.
