A 33-year-Old-Man O’ War officer identified as Olabode Okuwole has been shot dead by unknown gunmen in Igangan area of Ibarapa North Local Government of Oyo state.

According to the Convener, Igangan Development Advocate, Oladiran Oladokun, late Oluwole was shot dead while on his way between Igangan and Iganna road, around Iwere-Ile on Monday 10th of May, 2021.

Other sources in the town revealed that the Late Man O’ War officer was with his fiancé on a motorcycle from Igboora to Iwere Ile under Iwajowa Local Government Area of Oyo state when the incident happened.

It was gathered that the deceased left the Man O’ War meeting with his regalia around 6 pm, he was flashed down by people he thought were policemen who later attacked him.

The unfortunate incident was, however, said to have been reported to the Igangan Police Division on Monday 10th of May, 2021 at about 2140 Hrs.o

When contacted, the Public Relations Officer of the state police command, Adewale Osifeso confirmed the incident.

He said that investigations have commenced immediately to unravel details surrounding Oluwole’s death and to bring perpetrators to justice.

The corpse of Late Oluwole according to Oladokun has been retrieved by the deceased family and buried accordingly.
