A man identified as Johnbosco Ejiogu of Umudagu Mbieri in Mbaitoli local government area of Imo state has been arrested by Operatives of the Imo police command for attempting to end his own life and that of his mother.

According to an eye witness who spoke to Galaxy TV news correspondent Ajibade Awofeso on condition of anonymity, the said Johnbosco has been having serious problems with his mother Mrs Pauline Ejiogu recently and most times neighbours and passer-by comes around to settle them. 

However, their last quarrel took an ugly turn as Johnbosco decided to stab his mother lock himself and her in the room and went ahead to set the room ablaze.

Consequently, residents around were able to rescue both of them although they sustain some degrees of burnt before help came their way.

The Imo police command, Police public relations officer SP Orlando Ikeokw who confirmed the incident through a press release said the suspect Mr Johnbosco has been arrested and his mother rescue and taking to the hospital where she is currently receiving treatment.

The police said investigation into the matter is ongoing and Johnbosco after recovering from the body burnt he sustain he will be made to face the law.
