Tragedy struck in Kaduna State as an object suspected to be a bomb exploded in Kidandan Community in Giwa Local Council, injuring 10 children amd killing one pupil.

 

The incident sent the entire community into confusion, as the inhabitants ran for safety after the explosion.

 

The incident happened late in the afternoon when the children were said to be playing with an object they found in the bush on Saturday.

 

Sources in the community said that the object exploded and injured 10 children. The injured victims were reportedly rushed to ahmadu bello teaching Hospital in Zaria for treatment.

 

Councillor representing Kidandan Ward, Abdullahi Ismail, who confirmed the incident to newsmen, said the children picked the object in the bush where they went to fetch firewood and it turn out to be an explosive.
