Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC has presented certificates of return to the Ondo State Governor-elect, Lucky Aiyedatiwa and Deputy Governor-elect, Owolabi Olaide Adelami.

The Presentation ceremony took place at the INEC headquarters in Abuja, on Wednesday. The certificates were presented by the National Commissioner supervising Ondo State, Kunle Ajayi.

In his remarks, Ajayi stated that the governorship election portrayed the will and administration of the people of Ondo State. He appreciated the Voters and electorates for their conduct during the election which he described as free, fair and credible.

The Commissioner further lauded the efforts of both the security agencies and Media for making the governorship election peaceful and transparent.

In his acceptance speech, Governor Aiyedatiwa expressed gratitude to the people of Ondo State for casting their votes for him, and finding him worthy to govern the affairs of the state. He pledged to run an inclusive government and also provide a level playing ground for all in the State.
