Groups seek end to continuous Killings
Various Interest groups have converged in Benin-City, the Edo state capital to x-ray possible ways of ending the lingering crises between farmers and herdsmen in some parts of the country that has claimed several lives and left many injured, as well as the solution towards peaceful coexistence in the country.
On the theme, "Herdsmen Menace in the state," the occasion had respected scholars from across the state assembled at the doctor's house in Benin City to proffer a lasting solution while the first speaker, Prof Ehimenka Ifidon explained some of the root cause of the nomadic migration and how it can be nipped.
Meanwhile, state chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, Chief Dan Orbih who was also a special guest of honour on the occasion urged the state government to make policies that will protect the people.
