FRSC confirms 7 dead in Lagos-Ibadan road crash
The Ogun state command of Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has on Monday, March 19, said only seven persons died from the road accident that occurred on Lagos -Ibadan expressway on Sunday as against the media report suggesting the death of 18 persons in the same incident.
Sector Commander, Clement Oladele stated this after an on the spot assessment to some of the injured victims at a private hospital in Sagamu.
The sector commander stated that the FRSC as an agency would never add up or reduce the number of casualties as the agency holds in high esteem to the provision of figures.
While attributing the road crash to over speeding on the part of the driver, Oladele urged motorists to always exercise caution while on the road and drive according to rules and regulations.
Some of the injured victims while narrating their ordeals thanked God for sparing their lives, they said the bus was on top speed and later lost one of it tyres which resulted into the accident.
