FG Restates Commitment towards Improving Nigeria's Economy

Vice president Kashim Shettima has commended Kaduna State Governor, Senator Uba Sani, for his leadership, business-friendly policies, and commitment to financial inclusion, noting that his efforts have already attracted two major investments to the state. He reiterated president Bola Tinubu's efforts and commitment towards making Nigeria's economy better and functional. Vice President Kashim Shettima has said that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is on a determined mission to transform Nigeria’s economic structure into one that benefits the majority, not just a privileged few.
Speaking at the Kaduna Economic and Financial Inclusion Summit, Shettima noted that the President’s Renewed Hope Agenda is focused on expanding economic opportunities for all Nigerians. Represented by the Deputy Chief of Staff in the Office of the Vice President, Senator Hassan Hadeja, Shettima revealed that President Tinubu recently inaugurated the Presidential Committee on Economic and Financial Inclusion, mandated to implement key reforms under the Aso Accord and steer the country towards inclusive economic growth.
Other stakeholders at the economic summit reiterated federal government reforms that are helping build a more viable economy while ensuring greater financial access for underserved communities across Nigeria. Governor Uba Sani, who is the host, outlined plans to improve financial inclusion and lift millions of citizens out of poverty, aiming to open three million new bank accounts by the end of 2025. Sani reported that over 2.5 million new accounts have already been opened in the state, and nearly seven million residents have registered for National Identification Numbers (NIN).
