FG Orders Immediate Evacuation of Trailers Obstructing Reconstruction Process
The federal government has ordered an immediate evacuation of trailers from the Ogere axis of the Lagos/Ibadan expressway over indiscriminate packing and abuse of the road to allow the smooth reconstruction process of the expressway
This order to quit was given by the minister of works and housing, Raji Fashola during a meeting with critical stakeholders at the Ogere end of the expressway after an inspection of the pace of work on section two of the road
In his own submission at the occasion, the Ogun state governor, Dapo Abiodun appealed for understanding and cooperation, just as he demanded a special status for some critical federal government roads infrastructure in the state from the federal government.
Responding to some of these questions suggestions and concerns, the minister of works, Raji Fashola ordered the immediate evacuation of trailers from the Ogere axis of the expressway.
The minister also seized the occasion to reiterate the commitment of the federal government towards developing the critical infrastructure sector of the nation's economy, while the project is expected to be completed in the tear 2022.
